Brief History:

The New Bedford Clemente Course in the Humanities began in 2005, with help from Mass Humanities, the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, and PACE, Inc. Most of our faculty comes from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, and beginning with the class of 2011, the college credits are granted by UMass-Dartmouth.

While we offer the same classes that other Clemente Courses offer (moral philosophy, US history, art history, literature, writing), we also offer public speaking to our students, as well as an ESL tutor.
