Bard College, through its Center for Civic Engagement, is a longstanding partner furthering the growth and impact of Clemente. Students who successfully complete the Clemente Course receive six college credits from Bard College, which are transferable to other colleges and universities. Bard also is responsible for the academic program, reviewing the selection of all faculty and course plans, while also providing technical and fundraising assistance.
NEH has been an instrumental partner to Clemente, helping build our Clemente Veterans' Initiative in six states. This website was made possible through the support of the NEH. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this website do not necessarily reflect those of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The Clemente Course in the Humanities has also received generous support from The Denver Foundation.
The Teagle Foundation works to support and strengthen liberal arts education, which we see as fundamental to meaningful work, effective citizenship, and a fulfilling life. Our aim is to serve as a catalyst for the improvement of teaching and learning in the arts and sciences while addressing issues of financial sustainability and accountability in higher education. The Teagle Foundation generously provided the seed money to start the Clemente Veterans' Initiative and continues to support capacity-building initiatives for Clemente.
Library of America has been a proud partner of the Clemente Course since 1999, providing graduates of courses across the country with volumes of great American writings to inspire their continued exploration of literature.
W.W. Norton was a founding partner for the Clemente Course and continues to support our classrooms through donations of books and matching gift program.
